Last year HappyBottoms distributed over 1.6 million diapers to about 7,800 Kansas City children in need and we couldn't do it without the help of our generous volunteers. We are looking for volunteers to help with counting, sorting, and wrapping diapers, filling orders, and other light warehouse and administrative work.
Processing diapers at HappyBottoms is a great group opportunity and gives you the chance to make a big impact in a short amount of time! Mission Statement
Our mission: working with our partners to provide diapers to low-income families through donations, both financial and in-kind, and conducting diaper drives while raising awareness of the need for diapers for low-income families.
Description
Poverty statistics show that over 21,000 in the Kansas City Metro area need assistance with diapers. We provide 50 diapers or 30 pullups to 2,500 children per month who are enrolled in our program through 33 partner nonprofit agencies.
We take in donations, both in-kind and financial, to provide our services. We rely almost exclusively on volunteers to process diapers and get them ready for distribution each month.
