The most visible Salvation Army Service is often the hot meals and cold drinks served to Emergency Personnel. The Salvation Army "Canteen" is a full service "kitchen on wheels" to support these emergency responders. You can be part of it!
The Canteen also supports local area events, like the Dow Run/Walk, The Great Lakes Bay Marathon, and training exercises for the Midland County Search and Rescue team.
On a typical month, the Canteen may be used maybe two times, usually in support of a planned event, as opposed to a fire or natural disaster.
This is a great way to serve others - it's amazing how well received it is when you hand someone a cold bottle of water on a hot day!!!
We'd love to have you be part of it!
