Be a part of our new pet visitation program at Mercy hospitals. Is your dog certified as a pet therapy dog? We want you to join us in providing comfort to our patients while in our care. Please contact Robin Hunt at 661-632-5613 regarding program requirements and to schedule an interview.

If your pet is not currently certified and you are interested in voluteering, we can provide you with the information necessary to get certification locally.

Sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, Mercy Hospitals of Bakersfield has cared for the residents of Kern County for over 100 years. Mercy is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality, affordable health care services with special attention to the poor and underserved.

Mercy Hospitals of Bakersfield consists of two campuses: one located in downtown Bakersfield and the other being the only acute care hospital west of the 99 Freeway. Mercy is a member of Dignity Health , the largest not-for-profit health care provider in California.
