If you have experience in sales or kitchen design, or just want to learn about cabinets, we need you! This volunteer has the potential to make a significant increase in our cabinet sales, which can positively impact the success of the ReStore. With a combination of sales, customer service, kitchen design, and stocking, this position is great for a volunteer looking to stay busy! Responsibilities: Learn the cabinet process: from ordering to making the final sale Learn the cabinet product selection, pricing, and cabinet sizes Assist customers in selecting cabinets Design kitchen layout with customers to determine what they need Place order if cabinets are not in stock and close the sale Requirements: Ability to work closely with ReStore staff, volunteers, Habitat homeowners and customers Quick learner; comfort in asking questions Self-sufficient and cooperative attitude A knack for customer service and answering customer questions Good-natured and friendly attitude toward customers After a 3-4 week "audition" period, a long-term commitment is needed When: One weekly five hour shift: Tuesdays: 12pm-5pm Saturdays: 9am-2pm

Through the selling of donated construction and home related items:

· Increase the number of homes built with low-income families through Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte.

· Prevent usable items from being put in landfills.

· Provide quality building materials to the general public at discounted prices.

Description

The ReStore is a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte- individuals and coporations donate building materials, appliances, and home furnishings, and these items are sold to the public. Proceeds are used to build homes in partnership with needy families in the Charlotte area.
