And now for something different for Meals on Wheels volunteers.....a walking route.To access the housing area they serve, Northwest Neighbors meal site has set up a walking delivery route. This is about a 1hour a week commitment. Using 2 wagons the volunteer will deliver a nutritious hot meal and a safety check for our homebound seniors. As this is the only contact with the outside world, this is an opportunity for the volunteer to bring some sunshine into their lives. A great way to give back to the community. This site serves lunch Monday-Friday.

Description
The Senior Meals Program operates 11 Cafe 60 dining sites throughout Lane County where seniors over 60 and their spouses to share companionship and a hot, delicious and nutritious mid-day meal. We also deliver Meals on Wheels throughout Lane County.
