Volunteer Leader for School Makeover

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Inland Empire United Way

Celebrate Make a Difference Day on October 25th with Inland Empire United Way! We need your help to give Monte Vista Elementary School a much needed makeover! Thanks to our generous sponsors and community support, we will transform the school into a fun place for kids to learn and grow.

We need dedicated volunteers who are interested in leading groups of 10-30 volunteers in various projects that will prepare the school for the makeover it will receive the following day. These tasks include: cleaning and prepping walls for murals, preparing for gardening projects, blacktop stenciling and taping, and moving supplies onto the campus.

Volunteer Leaders are required to attend a training prior to October 25th. This training is designed to help you understand the project schedule, safety rules, and policies and procedures, while also providing an overview on leading groups of volunteers.

School Makeover Volunteer Leaders should allow for enough time to check- in and park. Be sure to wear comfortable attire that can get dirty. At the check-in station, you will receive a t-shirt to wear over your clothing that will identify you as a Volunteer Leader. For this event, closed-toe shoes are mandatory!
