Description
Our care philosophy, Meaningful Moments, is a distinctive program that takes a holistic approach to caring for individuals who are struggling with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia. The Meaningful Moments program philosophy places a strong emphasis upon:
-becoming very familiar with each resident's life story
-honoring the person as an individual
-recognizing that we are caring for the "whole person"; physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually
-Focusing on remaining abilities while minimizing disability
-creating a partnership of caring that includes the resident, family members, and facility staff
-understanding that a person living with dementia can continue to experience life in a meaninful way
-using sensitivity and creativity to incorporate spontaneous moments of meaning and joy into the resident's daily routines
