A Free Bird is looking for a volunteer to coordinate our financial development for 2013! A Free Bird is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to fighting childhood cancer through art and music therapy. We provide children aged 8-18, who are diagnosed with cancer, the chance to pursue their passion for the arts. The Director of Fundraising will work with other members of A Free Bird's staff to determine our funding needs. You will be responsibe for creating and maintainig a program budget, identify potential donors, and create fundraising events. You will also develop relationships with potential corporate donors and supervise the work of other fundraising volunteers. We ask for 10 hours per week of independent work and one weekly meeting in office to ccordinate with other fundraising staff. Applicants should have: At least two years of previous fundraising experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to plan and manage fundraising projects with minimum direction Superior organizational and planning skills Sincere desire to help children affected by cancer For more information about A Free Bird, please visit: www.afreebird.org Please submit your resume to: HR@afreebird.org
