Paws In The City

Paws in the City seeks a volunteer to serve as the Large Dog Foster Coordinator. This volunteer is responsible for managing all large dogs currently in the program who need foster homes or are currently in foster homes. The volunteer also manages and maintains relationships with the large dog fosters. Key tasks include conducting foster home visits, matching dogs with fosters, ensuring dogs and fosters are doing well, encouraging fosters to bring dogs to adoption events, assisting fosters with any needs related to their foster dog, coordinating and assisting with adoptions of large dogs. Although this listing has a "vitual" location, meeting with fosters may occasionally be necessary.

Paws In The City is an all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization committed to ending the abuse, neglect and overpopulation of Dallas area dogs and cats. Our goal is that every adoptable dog and cat get a loving home. By providing money for spay/neuter and increasing the adoption rate, we take the first step in making Dallas a no kill city.

Description

  1. Paws In The City has spent over 5 years rescuing and healing the abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and cats of our community. We focus on rescuing dogs and cats from the City of Dallas municipal shelter because they must euthanize almost 30,000 animals every year. We hope to make a difference.
  2. We currently do not have a shelter, but utilize foster homes and boarding facilities to board the animals in our care until a forever home can be found. Therefore we do not have employee or shelter related costs. Every dollar raised goes to foster, adoption, training, medical and spay/neuter programs.

** Providing a Medical Assistance Fund which offers the public help with expensive surgeries or treatments that they could not afford on their own (for qualified applicants only)
