Trail Hosting Orientation - Go Mt. Charleston

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Spring Mountains National Recreation Area - US Forest Service

  • 1 person is interested

If you enjoy helping others and hiking out on the trails, the US Forest Service has a great volunteer opportunity for you.

The US Forest Service is looking for volunteers to be Trail Hosts this summer in the Mt Charleston area of the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. Every weekend in the summer, hundreds of people flock to the mountains to hike around on the trails. Many times they lack the knowledge of where to go, what they can do, and how to be safe. Trail hosts provide information along the trails, monitor trail conditions, and greet fellow hikers. Trail hosts will also help visitors have a fun hiking experience while reducing impacts to the forest environment.

Trail Host Volunteer Orientations will be held for interested volunteers to attend and learn more about the program. This orientation will be held on Wednesda, April 30th at REI in Las Vegas at 710 S. Rampart Blvd at 7:00pm. Information about the program will be presented and your questions will be answered.
