Are you passionate about early literacy and looking for a meaningful way to connect with our community? Do you enjoy spending time with lovable dogs and curious children? Our Tales to Tails program is in need of volunteer assistants at the Downtown Library one Saturday a month from 9:30-11:45am.

The Tales to Tails program provides a safe environment in which children improve their literacy skills by reading aloud to certified therapy animals. The volunteer time commitment is minimal and the rewards are great! Volunteers greet children and animal handlers, set up the reading area, help select books, provide stickers at the end of each session, and set up future appointments. Please contact us if you're interested in learning more about this opportunity.
