Make a difference, delivering life-saving blood to local hospitals, using our organization's vehicle.
If you like to drive, this is an opportunity to either a)deliver blood to any of 25 hospitals within a 15 county region(daytime opportunities), or b) pick up blood/supplies from our branch locations and bring them to our downtown Dayton location(late afternoon/evening times). A company vehicle is provided. Worried about seeing blood? - No worry. Everything is packed in boxes and ready for you to put in the vehicle and go!
Shifts are typically 3-4 hrs in length. Volunteers for this position must be at least 21 years old, have a clean driving record and pass drug testing. We will provide the training, snacks and apparel to wear during your service and more. A commitment of at least 6 months is required, and all volunteers are asked to register for at least one shift per month.
Most of these shifts are Monday thru Friday. There are Saturday/Sunday morning runs.
Couples are welcome to volunteer together for this position, provided that both individuals are trained as volunteers.
