Catholic Charities Community Services is seeking a dynamic volunteer to help implement a new and fun way to provide program education to older adults. This "BINGO" facilitator will play BINGO with small groups while educating participants of the SNAP program, benefits, other services and how to apply.
Additional Information: Nutrition background is helpful, but is not required. Spanish Bilingual strongly desired. Presentations will be from 1 - 1 1/2 hours and can be flexible during the week.
SNAP or the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low income individuals and families and provides economic benefits to communities. SNAP is the largest program in the domestic hunger safety net. The Food and Nutrition Service works with State agencies, nutrition educators, and neighborhood and faith-based organizations to ensure that those eligible for nutrition assistance can make informed decisions about applying for the program and can access benefits.
