Event Description:
- free one-hour event held annually in April
- features free breakfast, entertaining program, educational topic and donation opportunities
- updates guests about Heritage Place
- Table Captains invite guests (friends, colleagues, neighbors, family)
- raises funds for Heritage Place mission
- recruits friends and volunteers for Heritage Place programs and events
Planning Committee Duties: Coodinates all details of the event including venue, Table Captains, sponsorships, program messages, marketing and guest experiences. Meetings are held every 4 to 6 weeks. All first-time volunteers attend an event orientation session. Time commitment is 1 to 2 hours/month, depending on duties selected.
Special Skills: None required. The successful volunteer will:
- be responsible
- be energetic
- follows-through on commitment
- believe in the value of older adult aducation, companionship and lifetime learning

- largest Senior Companion Station in central Indiana with 35 companions who provide 20 hours of friendly visiting services each week to disable homebound older adults
- serves 1,500 older adults annually
