Delivers and supports technical resources used by Red Cross workers during Disaster Relief Operations ("DROs"). The North Texas Metro Networking & Computer Ops Team, based in the DFW Metro Area, will (1) configure, support, and maintain regionally-owned computer resources staged in Dallas, and (2) be trained in national Disaster Services Training procedures and resources, able to provide support for DROs using national equipment wherever a HQ may be established. While not required, members will be eligible for travel to national DROs anywhere in the country.
- Participate in regular testing and maintenance of current image on all computers
- Assure all assets, including deployable servers, printers, networking equipment are ready for rapid deployment to a DRO anywhere in North Texas region.
- Deliver, set-up, and support computers/printers for Red Cross disaster responders
- Establish LAN, with Internet connectivity via satellite, cellular, or other resource
- Configure and support shared resources (shared servers, printers, databases)
- Follow established Disaster Technology Procedures.
