As a Sky Hospice volunteer you will become an important part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to providing effective compassionate care to those diagnosed with a life limiting illness. Mission Statement
The mission of UGC Hospice is to compassionately and holistically address issues that occur during the end stage of life. Our team, which includes nurses, home health aides, social workers, spiritual counselors, and volunteers focus on creating a plan of care which empowers patient and loved ones to make decisions that support quality of life.
Description
UGC Hospice is designed to meet the special needs of those diagnosed with terminal illness. We also provide supportive care to loved ones and caregivers of the patient, including supportive services post death. We acknowledge the uniqueness of our patient’s journey by developing individualized strategies of care. UGC hospice embraces differences and provides staff which reflects and honors the diversity of the families we serve.
