The Children's Literacy Center (CLC) seeks volunteers 14 years of age and older to provide tutoring to children reading below grade level at NO COST TO FAMILIES! Last year approximately 600 people volunteered to tutor for CLC and were rewarded by giving children the gift of reading. The time commitment is 1 hour, 2 days a week, for 12 weeks during the fall and spring semesters. Summer only requires a 6-week commitment. A trained site coordinator is available to assist during tutoring sessions. Training is provided either online or in-person and no experience is necessary.

Through teacher or parent referral, and with the help of volunteer tutors, Children's Literacy Center provides FREE one-to-one tutoring for children, first through sixth grade, whose reading skills are below grade level.
