Year Up New York is a nonprofit organization dedicated to closing the opportunity divide by training young adults in various subjects and setting them up with great internships. So how can you help? By tutoring our students in business math/personal finance. So what makes a great tutor? A commitment to helping our young adults. Availability Tuesday-Friday afternoons from 3:30-5:00 (don't worry, you can only come in once a week) Knowledge of math to the 8th grade level and personal finance concepts (loans, credit, interest, etc.)

Description

Year Up is a one-year, intensive training program that provides urban young adults, ages 18-24, with a combination of hands-on skill development, college credits, and paid corporate internships. Our mission is to prepare urban young adults for life and work in our technology-driven society while guiding urban young adults toward successful and rewarding careers and higher education.
