Description
What?
The Coast 2 Coast Swim Challenge, presented by the LA Tri Club, is a one-of-a-kind aquatic fundraiser with 100% of monies raised paying for swim lessons for under-served kids in LA.
Held at the Culver City Plunge pool, this all-day event allows participants to swim at their own pace and distance, broken up into 30-minute stages across 18 lanes.
The event features coached swim workouts by renowned coaches and professional athletes, such as 4-time Olympic Gold Medalist swimmer, Lenny Krayzelberg, former pro triathlete and now elite coach, Siri Lindley, as well as special guests such as ESPN's John Brenkus among others.
Sponsors range from Toyota to PowerBar, as well as local businesses. The event generates media attention from local CBS, Fox and Univision affiliates as well as Universal Sports Network and we were voted # 1 Swim Event by Competitor Magazine.
To date, we've made over 1,500 kids water-safe and look to make each year bigger and better!
