Are you comfortable with computers? Do you have patience and a good sense of humor? Do you want to help motivated adults achieve their goals? Alameda Reads and the Alameda Free Library are looking for tutors for our computer practice lab. You will be working with the library's tech specialist to provide assistance to anyone who wants to learn how to use Word, access the internet or use the library's online GED database to prepare for the test. We provide GED and pre-GED books for reference in the computer lab. Volunteers should be able to commit 1 or 2 hours a week. The lab will be open Fridays 11 AM to 1 PM. Contact Alameda Reads at (510) 865-2454 or alamedareads@alamedaca.gov for more information.
