The LGBT Center of Raleigh has only two full time and one part time staff members, our biggest volunteer needs are for Center staffing which includes answering the phones and providing information and referrals, greeting visitors and assisting with our library, which is the largest LGBT library in the Southeast. Our shifts run 11:45-4 and 3:45-8 MTWThF, 11:45-6 Saturday and Sunday. We offer volunteer orientation once a month on the first Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
We have a 50 hour minimum requirement for those seeking to do community service, and a 50 hour minimum requirement for those who need class credit.
Outgoing personalities do best.
324 South Harrington Street, Raleigh, N.C. You must be 18 and out of high school to volunteer.
**Please note that the Center is in the process of moving to the new location. There will be no orientation in January. Check the website and social media sites for more info!**
