Join the movement with thousands of others throughout the Gateway Area Chapter and help us move toward a world free of MS. Mark your calendar for this season's MuckFest MS event on august 15, 2015.
We need YOUR help this year! Your volunteer efforts bring passion, energy, and resources to the walks, which provide priceless support to the 7,500 people living with MS in our area. Invite your family members, friends, and colleagues to volunteer with you and become part of the movement doing something about MS!
There are four areas volunteers are needed:
- Check-In & Traffic Flow
- Festival (key check, shower area, recycling/trash, gear, t-shirt distribution, and more)
- Course (monitors & hydration station monitors)
- Anywhere you need me!
NEW THIS YEAR is the opportunity to participate in the last wave of the day! For only $25, you can register to take part in this awesome event at the end of the day after you volunteer! Please note: volunteers ages 17 or younger who want to participate must have a parent or guardian also register for $25 to run with them. Act fast because there are only 50 spots available!
Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, free lunch, and a souvenir cup! Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age.

Description
The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services for people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and nationwide network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.
Seeking volunteers to the MS cause is the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers four key fund-raising activities:
- Bike MS
- Walk MS
The Society also engages volunteers to help influence lawmakers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people living with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as:
- Marketing/Communications
- Public relations
- Corporate and donor development
- Medical, legal, administrative.
