Gerinet Healthcare Burbank is a hospice company which cares for patients at their homes and various facilities all over the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley areas. Along with tending to the physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs of our patients, there is something to be said for the companionship of someone whose affection and loyalty is unconditional. This is why we are reaching out to the community to help Gerinet Healthcare Burbank enrich our volunteer program by providing us with Dog Therapy teams that would be interested in dedicating a couple of hours a week to providing much needed companionship to our terminally ill patients.
Listed below are the requirements applied to pet parents and compassionate puppies along with our contact info.
Requirements:
For Pet Parents: Completion of FREE Volunteer Orientation
Completion of 2 FREE TB tests for protection of patient
Background Check
For Amazingly Compassionate Puppies
The only requirements that we have would be their certification recognized by Animal Encounters, liability insurance, and affectionate hearts.
We would love to acquaint our company with compassionate and caring pet parents and their loving and affectionate charges in the area.

Remita Health volunteers are specially-trained individuals with a heart for terminally-ill patients and their family members. These volunteers are an invaluable and essential part of the interdisciplinary team, and we are always looking for compassionate people to becoming volunteers!
Our program is broken down into several sub-programs to best meet the needs of the patients and families all over the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley, San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles areas. To volunteer with Remita Health, the most important thing our volunteers need to possess is a desire to help with care and compassion. Volunteers should be great listeners, have a strong comfort with death and the dying process, and able to document work clearly and concisely.
