As part of our response to childhood hunger, Harvesters offers Kids Cafe meals at after-school centers serving children in eligible areas. Kids Cafe provides nutritious after-school meals and offers learning activities to help develop good eating habits to last a lifetime. The Kids Cafe Monitor Volunteer will be monitoring sites where we serve the meals to make sure the sites are operating safely and according to our guidelines.
Desired Skills:
- Volunteers must be dependable and be available 3 hours (including traveling time) per week between January through May.
- Times needed would be afterschool time (between 3-6PM)
- Must be an independent worker
- Ability to pass child safety background check
- Critical thinking skills
- Flexible
- You will need to provide your own transportation - but you will be reimbursed for mileage
- Experience with government food service is a plus
- No lifting required
