(FPMCgr213) Family Promise of Morris County is seeking empathic, patient and courteous shelter volunteers to assist with a dinner, evening, or overnight shift in their various congregational sites througout the County. Dinner volunteers cook and bring dinner for the families and themselves. The evening shift is for family relaxation when volunteers often bring games or help coordinate other activities for the younger families. Make a difference for homeless families and volunteer for a dinner, evening or overnight shift. Please note: 1 male volunteer required for overnight shifts; children attend at their parents' discretion but cannot attend the same school district as the children in the shelter.

VMC provides volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages through our affiliation with over 500 not-for-profits, schools and government entities. VMC goes beyond matching to educating volunteers. Professional development is offered to volunteer managers, agency boards, and individuals wishing to serve on a not-for-profit board of directors. Business partnerships enable us to assist them in planning and executing volunteer projects. In addition, outreach and senior services are offered through friendly visiting and telephone reassurance programs.
