Breast Cancer Solutions provides breast cancer patients with direct assistance, community referrals and compassionate support. Following completion of an application for financial assistance and initial eligibility has been confirmed, Client Services Volunteers (CSVs) interview applicants. If an applicant is approved for financial assistance, CSVs become one-on-one mentors for the client to provide ongoing support and conduct monthly assessment of household finances and adherence to treatment protocols. After initial training, CSVs are required to attend monthly meetings for ongoing training, support and client review. CSVs report to the BCS Volunteer Manager. This position requires a one year commitment to conducting at least one interview per month.

Description
BCS' goal is that no person goes untreated for breast cancer because of inadequate or unsafe housing, lack of medical insurance or the inability to pay for medications.
