Attention history lovers with inquisitive minds! Washington National Cathedral, the 6th largest cathedral in the world, has openings for volunteers in its Archives. The Archives preserves the Cathedral's rich stories and cultural heritage dating back to 1893.
Volunteers sort, organize, and catalog documents and photographs and assist with research requests. Volunteers should be detail-oriented, organized, and able to quickly absorb background information for context when evaluating materials. Basic computer skills are required. Knowledge of Gothic architecture, U.S. history, and/or Episcopal history is a plus.
Volunteers must be available for a weekly shift from 10 am - 2 pm on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.

Washington National Cathedral welcomes peopel of all faiths and perspectives. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people come through the doors of Washington National Cathedral to delight in the beautiful Gothic art and architecture, unite in music and worship, mourn the passing of world leaders, and confront today's pressing moral and social issues. Opportunities to volunteer exist seven days a week and at different times of the day. Duties vary widely from interacting with the public to providing administrative help.
