THIS IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR AN ADULT 55 AND OVER

Work with a team of human services professionals within a non-profit organization that provides scholarships for camps and enrichment opportunities to children who have suffered the loss of a parent. Responsibilities include interviewing parents of scholarship applicants, participating in the award selection process as a member of the application committee team, and working closely (primarily via phone and email) with bereaved families and camp advisors to facilitate effective camp placements and referral for other services as needed. Many families will be awarded multi-year scholarships, thereby providing an opportunity to work longer term with recipients and their surviving parent

Requirements: 4 meetings per year (including orientation); time required to perform duties varies from week to week; primary time commitment September - May; multiple year commitment preferred.
