You can help!

Parents, Teachers, and Advocates is hosting our first fundraising program. It is called a Parent Interactive Weekkend. This three session program takes place on a Friday night with two sessions on Saturday. It is a parent enrichment workshop where participants engage in interactive activiteis tha improve hei parenting and helps them to build stronger relationships with their children. Our chosen class is Parenting in the 21st Century. You can see the course syllabus by clicking on the link belwo.

We need help with planning, set-up, registration for the day of the event, selling of marketing materials, food and frink set up, child care for any children who show, and help during the weekend with a variety of other needs. There will be 2 planning meeting one in April and one in May before the event.

Description

Parents, Teachers and Advocates works to support families in five ways. These ways include parent development classes that help parents understand the development and needs of children from birth to age 21. The second is parent coaching; helping parents to think through and plan parenting strategies. Third is Educational Advocacy supporting parents in helping children to navigage the educational systme and to graduate successfully. Fourth is Child Care Resources helping parents to choose child care, babysitting and other supports as needed. And finally we support families in the Foster Care system both as Foster and as Birth Families.
