Our organization has deep roots in the community and has been working to end Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in Columbia County since 1979. SAFE was the result of grassroots movements in our community and has ties to Womens Movements that were happening all over the country at the time. We have had a huge impact over the years and gone through many changes and want to preserve our organizations history. We have photos and newspaper clippings that we would love to see end up in an archival scrap book and are hoping to find an individual interested in exploring the history of our organization, meeting with some of our Founding Mothers and recording some of the rich oral history that is linked with our cause and organization.
