Help our dedicated Talking Book Center staff make audiobooks available to Alaskans who have disabilities that prevent them from reading printed books. Our patrons check out more than 40,000 audiobooks every year. They love the Talking Book Center because it keeps them connected to the world. Come help us serve people who really appreciate the time we take to meet their needs.
You may be asked to check in and check out audiobooks, send packets of information to prospective patrons, refurbish plastic mailing cases, or prepare new talking book machines for patrons. If you have special skills, we will try to find tasks that match your abilities. Volunteer opportunities available Monday through Friday 9 am to 4 pm.
