5k Walk to End Violence Against Women
Volunteer for this fun and impactful walk!

Help End Violence Against Women ! Join the Georgia Chapter of theUSNational Committee for UN Women 2014 Spring Walk Planning Committee. Help plan the 5k Walk to End Violence Against Women.

Each year, we hold a Walk to End Violence Against Women. This year's event will be held on May 17, 2014 inPiedmontPark. We are looking for volunteers to:

  • Prepare for the event on the day of
  • Identify sponsors
  • Solicit donations to sponsor the t-shirt as well as in-kind donations (e.g.- protein bars, etc)
  • Solicit donations for the infrastructure (e.g. - tents for face painting)
  • Market the event

Most of the work can be done on your own time. We do have 2-3 in person meetings over the course of the next few months and we meet via phone every 2-3 weeks. The bulk of your time would be spent when it's best for you.

You do need to have your own computer since we do so much virtual work and communicate mostly via email.
