Dedicated to excellence, Heartland Youth Choir develops musicianship and builds character of youth through the rehearsal and performance of quality choral literature.

Description

Heartland Youth Choir (HYC) provides greater Des Moines area children and youth of diverse backgrounds a performance-based program that emphasizes musical literacy and character development. HYC was founded in 2003 and consists of six different age-based choirs. HYC singers experience quality literature from all styles and periods to help them explore and develop their musical interests and aptitudes in ways that extend beyond school.
