After a training session, you will have the opportunity to lead weekly activities, get paired up with a senior, and/or visit several residents of senior care communities. The senior citizens benefit from your companionship and fun, stimulating games and exercises. Visits are located in a senior residence at least once a week for a minimum of one hour. Anyone with a big heart, open mind, and patience is welcome to volunteer.

Sydney Cooper Senior Smiles™ is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that trains, recruits, and educates volunteers of all ages on the needs of the elderly, and then pairs the volunteer with a senior who would benefit from companionship. Seniors are located in nursing homes, board and care, assisted living, and senior living communities throughout Southern California.
