Year Up New York is a unique, year-long education and corporate internship program that prepares urban young adults for professional careers and higher education. Our tutors ensure that every student has the high support needed to meet the high expectations set by the program. Our Business Math curriculum prepares students to understand basic math computations that provide the foundation for financial literacy. What makes a great Year Up Business Math tutor? --Knowledge in 7th/8th grade math and financial literacy. --One hour a week time commitment from 3:45 to 4:45 --Positive and constructive communication skills --Ability and desire to work with urban young adults (ages 18-24) from diverse backgrounds Tutors are needed at both of the Year Up New York sites: --Brooklyn: 9 Dekalb Avenue --Manhattan: 55 Exchange Place Can't wait to hear from you!

Description

Year Up is a one-year, intensive training program that provides urban young adults, ages 18-24, with a combination of hands-on skill development, college credits, and paid corporate internships. Our mission is to prepare urban young adults for life and work in our technology-driven society while guiding urban young adults toward successful and rewarding careers and higher education.
