The Science Factory is looking for volunteers to assist in the Exploration Dome, our planetarium and fulldome digital theater. Volunteers will collect tickets, welcome visitors to the shows, and run the digital A/V equipment for each show. The Exploration Dome has several shows every weekend, plus occasional weekday shows for school field trip groups and the public. In November and December 2014, we are also running laser light shows.
Knowledge of astronomy is strongly desired. No special technical knowledge is required; we will provide training to use the A/V equipment. Volunteers must be comfortable interacting with visitors and willing to show enthusiasm about science (especially astronomy).
