If you have administrative skills, are organized and connected to businesses and entrepreneurs and people nearing retirement, this is a position for you.

SCORE is a nonprofit organization that helps small businesses succeed through counseling and seminars. Our free online, face-to-face, phone and/or online counseling helps small businesses start up or get help on specific business issues.

The HR Membership Chair position manages our recruiting, orientation and member skills.

This position can be limited to the Membership responsibilities or combined with counseling entrepreneurs.

Requires minimum 10 years of business experience .You need to respond to the clients request and set-up mentoring meetings within 48 business hours.

Description

SCORE is dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow and succeed nationwide through volunteer mentors offering free and confidential small business advice. SCORE is a nonprofit resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and has been mentoring small business owners for nearly 60 years. A network of over 255 SCORE offices across the country with 10,000 volunteers offer free, confidential business mentoring and low- or no-cost workshops.

For over half a decade, SCORE's thousands of working and retired business professionals, representing 62 industries, have volunteered their knowledge, expertise and experience to support the success of small business nationwide. More than 4.65 million hours of expertise and advice were donated by SCORE volunteers in 2022! SCORE provides:

  • Free, confidential business mentoring in person, via email or by video
  • Volunteer mentors who share their expertise across industries
  • Free business tools, templates and tips online
  • Inexpensive or free business workshops (locally) and webinars (online 24/7)
SCORE Fox Cities is located in the Fox Valley area of Wisconsin and represents 8 counties in the area: Calumet, Green Lake, Fond du Lac, Marquette, Outagamie, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago.
