The Global Refuge Center in Greeley is looking for teachers to teach English as a Second Language. Teachers are not required to have teaching experience, just a love for helping people from all around the world. Classes are held Monday through Fridays and volunteers can commit to teaching as many days as they want. This is a great way to give back to your community while learning about different cultures from around the world!

The Global Refugee Center, Inc. works with the refugee population to enhance their quality of life by implementing programs in Education, Health, Finance, Culture, and Civil & Human Rights that lead to self-sufficiency and self-reliance.

Description

The Global Refugee Center, Inc. (GRC) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit in Greeley, CO that educates, empowers, and advocates on behalf of the refugee population living in the community. The GRC promotes self-sufficiency in refugees by implementing programs in Education, Health, Finance, Culture, and Civil & Human Rights. The GRC's serves newcomers from 47 different countries in Africa, Asia, North and Central America who speak more than two dozen languages and practice at least four religions. GRC is entirely volunteer driven, with 3 full-time/2 part-time staff who dedicate their time without compensation and 60 other individuals who contribute anywhere from one hour a month to twenty hours a week. In the three and a half years since it's founding in 2008, the GRC has significantly impacted the lives of refugees living in Greeley and Weld County, Colorado.
