Abilities United's Heritage Garden and Adult Day Activities Participants need your love of tending gardens and teaching people the joys of gardening. This means everything from preparing the soil, planting, nurturing, harvesting, distributing and creatively utilizing the produce of our flower, herb and vegetable garden. We need you to have a strong back and love of dirt because the job may require digging, moving soil, and planting. Volunteers are needed ongoing on Wednesdays from 10:30-12:30.

Mission Statement
Empower people with special needs to achieve their full potential through innovative, inclusive programs and community partnerships. Our volunteers are essential partners and help make a real difference in the depth and breadth of our programs and services. By sharing their time, talents, and energy, volunteers make a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of our participants and in our community. Whether it’s interacting directly with our students with special needs or working behind the scenes, Gatepath volunteers take part in a rich, rewarding--and fun--experience that benefits adults, youth, and children with learning differences and developmental disabilities.
Description
For nearly a century, AbilityPath (formerly Gatepath and Abilities United) has been "Turning Disabilities Into Possibilities". As one of the premier nonprofits in Silicon Valley, we provide inclusive programs for people with special needs at all stages and ages.
