The Girl Scoutbiennial encampment is attended by over 1000 girls ages 8-17 from all across Alaska. They pitch their tents at the fairgrounds for four days and attend hands-on workshops. This a great time for girls to experience new things in a safe and fun environment; to discover, connect, and take action as Girl Scouts.
We need you! Do you
- Like science, arts, culture, sports, and teaching about your career or hobby?
- Enjoy interacting with kids?
- Want a chance to encourage girls in becoming leaders?
Then we have an opportunity for you. This is a one day or two day commitment (June 5th & 6th). We have session ideas for those who need them. Bring a friend, and come have fun with Girl Scouts!
The key to making this event a success is active, hands-on participation for the girls. We want sessions thatgive every girl a chance to participate, and to experience something new. We want girls to get their hands dirty, meet people that are passionate about science, arts, culture, sports, and to be exposed to new ideas.
