Keep our creeks and lakes clean!

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Hellyer County Park

California’s Coastal Cleanup Day is an excellent way to help clean our planet’s fragile marine eco-system. On this day thousands of volunteers throughout California help reduce our impact on aquatic life by cleaning up debris that litters local coastlines, lakes, rivers, and streams. This is a great opportunity for all to get involved.

Coastal Cleanup Day is also a great way to fulfill your community service requirements. Individuals, clubs, and classes are welcome and encouraged to participate!

Volunteers will meet park staff at 9:00 a.m. at the Cottonwood Lake parking lot in Hellyer County Park, 985 Hellyer Ave in San Jose.

Pre-registration is required. Please wear long pants and sturdy shoes, and bring a long-sleeved shirt, sunscreen and a water bottle. All necessary tools and work gloves are provided. All registered volunteers will receive a confirmation notice prior to the event, including a map and final details.

For more information or to register for this event, please contact the Volunteer Program at or call (408) 918-4930.
