MLK SERVICE TRAIL DAY

Join Santa Clara County Park staff in a day of service honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. Volunteers will work closely with expert park staff, and learn the art and science behind trail maintenance.
Volunteers meet park staff at the main entrance parking lot at 9 AM. Pre-registration is required -- all registered volunteers receive a confirmation notice prior to the event, including a map and other details.
No special skills are required. Work gloves and all necessary tools are provided for cleanup events.
Volunteers age 14-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the event. Volunteers age 16-17 may participate without parent/guardian supervision but only if they present a completed volunteer application including a parent or guardian's signature. Application forms as available at the event but the parent or guardian must be present to sign.

Since 1924, when Stevens Creek County Park was established, people have given their time and talents to help make Santa Clara County Parks special places to visit. In 2010, nearly 2000 volunteers donated over 40,000 hours of service to a variety of projects and programs.
