The South Natomas Library offers a variety of computer skill building classes led by the Library Technology Assistant (a library staff member). Class participants are adults who want to learn computer basics like keyboarding, using the mouse, how to reserve a library computer, log on to Wi-Fi, print pages, and access library online databases. We're seeking tech-savvy, computer literate volunteers who will assist the program leader during the class by answering questions the participants have. You will also help set up and clean up the computer stations.
If you have computer skills, experience using Windows 7, and most importantly, you possess patience and enjoy working with a variety of people, this may be a great volunteer opportunity for YOU.
The classes will be offered on WEDNESDAY evenings and FRIDAY mornings. We request a commitment that you be available to assist at least one program a month typically for a two hour period.
As the Technology Program Assistant, you will help class participants acquire the skills and confidence necessary to be successful using a computer.More opportunities with Sacramento Public Library - South Natomas Library
