If you have two hours each month and enjoy intereacting with children on an individual level, we may have something for you. No aviation experience is necessary but if you happen to love airplanes, all the better!
Our flight and/or flight simulator events occur about once a month. Your role would be to introduce the "Courageous Flier" and their family to the flight instructor and staff and to walk the child through what to expect.
Flight events are usually held at Indianapolis Regional Airport (formerly Mount Comfort Airport) in Greenfield. Flight Simulator events are at the Aviation Technical Center, 2175 S. Hoffman Rd. in Indianapolis.
We will provide all the information you will need. All you have to bring is a passion for helping children and a love of smiles.

MISSION: Through the joy of flight we build confidence in kids affected by health challenges.
Description
WHO WE ARE:
Flight1 is an Indianapolis-based nonprofit organization and 501(c)(3) public charity created in 2011. We work to build confidence in children ages 5 to 18 who face medical challenges or have lost a family member to illness. Our "Courageous Fliers" build their confidence by flying an airplane under the guidance of a Certified Flight Instructor, being recognized as members of the aviation community, and participate in ongoing flight-related activities.
