Are you a dentist, dental hygienist, or dental assistant? Make a difference by providing direct dental services to children in need at Portland's pediatric safety net dental clinic.
Every year, over 500 children in Portland call Friends of Creston Children's Dental Clinic their dental home. Any Portland Public School student who is eligible for free and reduced lunch can come for dental care. Our all-volunteer team of dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants keep their smiles bright so they can eat, learn, and play without pain or decay.
Our permanent clinic, located in Creston School in SE Portland, includes four opertories, new A-dec chairs and equipment, digital charting and xrays, and more. As a dental home providing preventative and restorative care as well as treating emergent needs, volunteers form real connections with patients and families, and have the time to provide much-needed education in addition to treatment.
Whether you volunteer with us once a week or once a year, you'll leave with the memory of some bright smiling faces, on their way to being cavity-free because of you.

Mission Statement
The Friends of Creston Children’s Dental Clinic provides free preventative, restorative, and emergency dental care to uninsured and low-income children attending Portland Public Schools.
Description
The Friends of Creston Children’s Dental Clinic is one of the only places in Portland where large numbers of low-income children can receive regular, high quality dental care in a clinic based setting. Established in 1962, Creston provides more than 1,200 students in the Portland Public School District with over 5,600 dental procedures each year. In 2010, The Friends of Creston Children’s Dental Clinic (FCCDC) assumed control of Creston from its founders, the Assistance League of Portland, who had decided to close the clinic. Since then, FCCDC has greatly re-vitalized the clinic with a new, more efficient operating model that is based on volunteers, collaboration, education, and cultural competency of care. Qualifying children receive treatment for free through the generosity of volunteer dental professionals.
