Serve at the VA Hospital in Leeds or the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) in Springfield.
VA volunteers are needed to help veterans access appointments and services at automated registration kiosks. Volunteer helpers serve the veterans who are arriving for appointments. Good people skills and some basic computer skill is needed.
Information desk ambassadors are needed to provide escort and information services to patients and visitors. Also, volunteers assemble craft kits and assist with the veterans' recreation program. If you have a special skill to share, we want to know. Lunch provided with a 6 hour shift. Training and background check required.
MEPS volunteers assist military recruits and their families as they begin their service. Volunteers needed for morning shifts at least once per week.

Description
RSVP volunteers must be 55 years or older and volunteer in Hampden, Hampshire or Fanklin County, MA. RSVP matches a volunteer's skills and interests with community organizations in Western Massachusetts that need help. RSVP staff remains available to help volunteers achieve the most out of their service.
