Friendly Visitors
Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care has numerous patients in Assisted Living Facilities and patients in their personal homes in the Houston area who need caring people to visit with them.
Seasons Hospice Friendly Visitors are an integral part of the hospice team. They have the opportunity to make a profound difference in the quality of life for individuals who are facing a terminal illness.
Friendly Visitors or Direct Patient Volunteers enrich the lives of patients by providing emotional support and companionship for the patient and their families. Volunteers can help in various ways through compassionate listening, reading, listening to music, making crafts, helping patients make a legacy project, watching movies, and more. Volunteers also help bring comfort to the family by being an understanding presence.
Since Friendly Visitors have direct patient contact will need to complete Seasons Volunteer Training, have a valid driver’s license, successfully pass a background check, and complete a 2 step TB Test. Background check and TB Test are paid for by Seasons. Volunteers need to 18 years or older.
