Homework Zone Coach
Coaching for Success!

Want to make a real difference for a student in grades 1 through 8? Then become a Homework Zone Coach at the Rancho Cordova Library. The Homework Zone is an after-school program designed to partner you with a student to help build the student's confidence and skills. As a Homework Zone Coach you will help students with their homework, subject specific assignments (for example a paper about a famous person) all of which contribute to the student gaining confidence in succeeding at school.

The Homework Zone Program is offered weekly on THURSDAYS from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm during the school year. Students attend on a drop-in basis. We ask our Homework Coach to commit to 2 hours per week on THURSDAY for at least one academic semester (Fall and/or Spring).

We're seeking adults or teens who enjoy working with elementary school age youngsters and who are comfortable helping with mathematics (basic arithmetic to algebra) as well as other subject matter specific assignments.

Adults (over 18) are required to complete a background check through Live Scan prior to starting with the Program.
