Zen Poop

Whether you are a novice and want to learn about horses from the ground up, or an experienced horse person that wants to share your time and expertise, we can always use your help! Cleaning, grooming and natural horsemanship type ground work are what we do most, but we also make time for play and, you might receive a special healing or message from some of our resident horses!

If you have always wanted a horse for yourself, but never had the people or the place to let you learn, well here is your opportunity! You will learn first hand about the best holistic care, feeding and handling of horses, some with very special needs. Volunteering for a horse rescue is something that comes from the heart. You must have a love and passion for horses, since you may not realize how much time and dedication this requires. As you work with these wonderful animals, you will be surprised how much you learn about yourself. Being around horses is the best therapy in the world!

We are happy to help students earn school credits and all ages are welcome. We encourage the parents of minors to observe or participate for at least a day with their children, so that they can feel comfortable and share their experience with them. A signed volunteer release form and your own medical insurance are required.

Please visit the Volunteer Page on our website to schedule the dates you would like to volunteer. https://www.saffyresanctuary.org/volunteers

You must attend an orientation day prior to scheduling a regular volunteer day. Thank you for your interest in our organization and we look forward to meeting you!
