Love dogs or cats? Need dedicated Adult Volunteers with dog/cat experience to help us at our weekend Dog and Cat Adoption Showcases (Fremont & So. Bay), usually on Saturdays. Please see our "Showcase Location" page from our website for times and locations. We are all volunteer foster homes and do not have a shelter, building nor office.
This is a great opportunity to help rescue animals and help our dogs/cat feel comfortable at showcases. Must be able to lift equipment (dog pens, cages, table) for set up/break down and be very professional with public and other volunteers. Help watch over area, dogs/cats and supervise Jr. Volunteers. Read and abide by our Showcase Safety Rules. Sorry, no community service hours for courts. Please e-mail us and come by and meet our team during our Adoption Showcase to sign our Volunteer Agreement, read our Safety rules and join our team of committed hero volunteers. For Jr. Volunteers (12 - 17 yrs) and College Service Hours: To help at our weekly Dog Adoption Showcases, you must attend our "Dog Adoption Showcase Safety Orientation". We require a commitment minimum of 24 hours of service with FFR. Please contact our Jr. Volunteer Director to be scheduled: jrvolunteer@furryfriendsrescue.org.
Duties:
- Set up half hour before showcase begins
- watch over our dogs, cats & Jr. Volunteers during showcase
- learn our procedures and safety rules
- help answer questions to the public
- help with miscellaneous event projects, set up and breakdown equipment.

Mission Statement
Dedicated to the rescue, sanctuary and adoption of companion animals. We rescue and Home Foster dogs and cats of all ages (young to senior), breed types, special medical & behavior needs from over-crowded Animal Shelters in No. California. Many dogs and cats have been neglected, abused and were not home trained.. We take care of all their vet needs, including high special needs, Miracle Club, and home train them with TLC.. We always need more dedicated and experienced Foster Homes!
Description
Furry Friends Rescue saves dogs and cats before they are euthanasia in bay area over-crowded shelters. We also assist dog and cat owners who need to find new homes for their pets. We have no office or building. We are volunteers and home foster our rescue dogs and cats of all ages, breed type and special medical/behavior needs. Some with terminal illness live out their lives in sanctuary homes. We stand behind our dogs and cats. We screen for adoption match as true family member for life and do home visit to ensure safety for every animal. We support our adopters with training and holistic food/care tips.
